MINUTES OF A MEETING OF HEMSWELL PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON 

TUESDAY 08TH IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT 7.30PM 

 

1.  PRESENT:

Cllr. C Black, Cllr. P Huntley, Cllr. M Foster, Cllr. J Roberts, Cllr. Brian Everatt

 PCSO Julie Mc Fall, one parishioner. 

2.  APOLOGIES;

District Cllr. P Howitt Cowan. 

3.  Adjournment:

PCSO Julie McFall reported she had been called twice to the village because of loose horses.

5. MINUTES OF NOVEMBER PC MEETING 

 Proposed: Cllr. M Forster ; Seconded: Cllr. James Roberts

6.  PLANNING TO BE DISCUSSED

6.1   Planning number 138618  - no comments 

6.2   Planning inspectorate APP/N2535/W/18/3210783 has been refused. 

7. MATTERS TO BE DISCUSSED 
7.1.  Maypole   

The work to be carried out from the 1st. April.
The grants are being applied for and a donation of £300 pounds has been received from Cllr. James Roberts. [Action Cllr. B Mander] 

7.2.  Beck Lane Trees 

Mr. C R Marfleet has offered to remove the damaged tree that has the tyre attached. The clerk is to ask the tree specialists to re-quote for biggest tree near the pathway. [Action clerk] 

7.3.  The council has received the provisional election costs for 2019 
7.4.  Cemetery Fencing 

 Clerk to get quotes for the rabbit proof fencing. [Action clerk] 

7.5.   Vacancy for Parish Councillor 

Clerk to advertise in newsletter for new councillor 

7.6.  Village Hall Roof 

 Repairs not completed. 

7.7.   Parish Council meeting dates. 

The council are changing the meeting dates to the 3rd Monday bi-monthly 

7.8.  Parking 

It was reported to the council, cars and vans are parking close to the junction of Maypole Street and Church lane. This is making it difficult to pull out safely at the junction, clerk to remind parishioners in the newsletter.  [Action clerk]

8.1.   Village Hall Committee 

No report came from the Village Hall Committee –  

8.2.   Neighbourhood Plan  

Waiting for AECOM to complete the design principles document.

9.  FINANCE 
9.1  Precept 

The precept for Hemswell at £6200 was signed 

9.2 Cheques authorised 

 Newsletter £23.20 

 Clerks salary £297.00 including expenses 

 Grounds Maintenance £140.00 

 Councillors Day £27.50
