Tillbridge Solar Limited is developing proposals for a new solar and energy storage project which would involve the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) generating panels and on-site energy storage facilities around the village of Springthorpe in Lincolnshire. As the project would generate more than 50MW of renewable energy, Tillbridge Solar is classified as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP), requiring submission of a Development Consent Order (DCO) to the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. NSIPs are not decided through the normal local planning processes, which means that West Lindsey District Council is not the decision-making body for this type of application. Although WLDC is not the decision-making body, local councils can still express their views and concerns, and people in the area can contact Tillbridge Solar directly via their website: https://tillbridgesolar.com/
In July 2022, Tillbridge Solar held workshops in and around the area, and you can download the Post-collaboration workshop report (September 2022) via this link (Opens in new browser window).
